Arsenal set to reject Chelsea’s offer and sign young star instead

Arsenal are feeling a need to improve their attacking unit next year. They are set to part ways with some of their existing stars who have failed to improve in order to make room and also bag some profit before spending. As a result, Arsenal may decline a chance of signing Raheem Sterling permanently and this may come as a big blow for Chelsea. Instead, Arsenal may plot a move for Antonie Semenyo.

Arsenal to reject offer from Chelsea to sign Sterling permanently

Raheem Sterling was told by Enzo Maresca to find a new club. He was seen as a surplus to the squad and hence was put on a sale. Sterling was unable to find a new club and hence joined Gunners on the deadline day.

Gunners have an option to buy Sterling permanently next year. But now Gunners seem to decline that offer due to the player not being at his best. Infact, Sterling has not been the same since he left Man City in 2022.

The Blues are desperate to sell the 29 year old winger and may have to look for other options now. Sterling still has plenty of time to change Arsenal’s plans or even attract another big club to revive his career.

Gunners plotting a move for Semenyo

Arsenal have been linked with Antoine Semenyo who was present in Bournemouth’s starting lineup when they defeated Gunners recently. Semenyo is only 24 years old and can play on both wings. He can also play as striker if needed. He already scored 3 goals along with picking 1 assist in 8 Premier League games this season.

Semenyo is also tempted by a move to The Emirates as he has revealed that Arsenal is his favourite club while talking to The Athletic. Although, he is Arsenal fan he said that it he is open to move to any club playing in the Champions League or Europa League.

Lastly, Semenyo said that he has to work hard to gain his move to top club. If he continues to improve and keeps on delivering at the highest levels, we may soon see his magic in Champions League for sure.
