Arsenal shares injury updates ahead of Newcastle United face- off

Arsenal has managed to maintain a good start to their 2024-2025 for now. The Gunners have managed to see a good track record this season. They have recently come from an EFL Cup victory which has led them to a Carabao Cup semi-final.

Mikel Arteta’s men have already faced plenty of injuries this season. The first blow to the team was when the captain Martin Odegaard got injured in the September international break. The Norwegian has been slated to be out of the squad till November.

This injury list has seen only more players added to the sidelines. Bukayo Saka was also injured while playing for his country in the international break. Riccardo Calafiori has already been on the sidelines twice for the Gunners this season. The defender injured himself in the clash against Liverpool. He will most likely miss out on the match against Newcastle United.

Riccardo Calafiori is also out of the squad after his injury in the Liverpool vs Arsenal match. The Italian and the Englishman will definitely miss out on the next Premier League face-off. The Arsenal club website did release a statement regarding White’s and Calafiori’s condition.

“Riccardo and Martin are out definitely. With Ben, we do not know. He hasn’t trained yet”.

There is good news for Arsenal as well. The Brazilian Gabriel Magalhaes will return to the pitch from the injury he suffered during the international break. Mikel Arteta said that Magalhaes is expected to be in the Gunners’ starting lineup.

Is Gunner’s captain set to return soon?

The Gunner’s captain Martin Odegaard is very close to returning from injury and get back on the pitch. He had an ankle injury and is slated to be out till early November.

Arsenal will face Newcastle United next where the Gunners will search for a win. Martin Odegaard will not play a part in the Newcastle clash. He is expected to join the squad in their next Champions League fixture.

Gunners will face Inter Milan in the European competition. They remain unbeaten in the Champions League. A win against the Italian club will boost their chances of winning silverware this season. They are in contention of the Premier league title as well.

The Gunners sit on the third position of the Premier League table with 18 points. They stay 5 points behind the current table toppers and Champions Manchester City. If they manage to get three points against the Magpies it will be a confidence boost for the team.
