Arsenal should reconsider about letting Thomas Partey leave after his impressive performances against Liverpool. Partey played an important role in securing a point aginst the Reds who were favourites to win the match.
Gunners were missing many of their stars yesterday. Saliba was suspended whereas some were injured. Saka and Timber did start the game and were very good too. But Gunners were very unstable in the defence.
Calafiori was injured who was viewed as player who can replace Saliba. This forced Arteta to play Ben White as centre back and Timber as left back. As for the right back position, Arteta trusted Thomas Partey who did not disappoint at all.

Partey was also able to make 1 block, 3 clearances, 1 interception and 3 recoveries. He won 9 ground duels with 56% success rate and 4 ariel duels with 80% success rate. All stats as per FOTMOB.
Should Gunners let Partey leave for free?
At this moment, letting player like Partey leave for free does not feel like good business from Gunners. He will turn 32 in january but still has a lot to offer. His experience and versatility can prove extremely important for Arsenal and hence the club should reconsider his exit.
Along with Partey, Jorginho is also close to an exit. Letting 2 experienced players playing in same area at once, can surely increase Arteta’s problems. Gunners can offer Partey a short term contract and should secure his services atleaset for one more year.
