Arsenal are showing interest in the 28 year old Liverpool star. The Reds might be open to sell the player in the upcoming transfer window.

Liverpool are doing really well under newly arrived boss Arne Slot. Despite being knocked out from FA Cup last night, they have shown superb form throught the season. They are table toppers in Premier League and very likely to lift the title.

There are some changes expected in the Liverpool squad next season. Some of their stars are set to depart whereas some will be sold by the club. There is now a new name being added in the list of exit linked players who is being looked upon by their rivals Arsenal.

According to Anfield Watch, Gunners are showing interest in Diogo Jota. The reports state that Liverpool are willing to sell the 28 year old this summer. It is due to the injury issues of the Portugese star. The Reds will sanction the sale for a fair transfer fee.

Jota arrived to Liverpool in summer 2020 and has so far played 166 games in Red jersey. He has scored 64 goals and picked 21 assists in the process. He has missed many games due to injury but has responded well whenever he is present on the pitch.

Jota has played as striker this season and has done good job so far. He has scored 8 goals along with picking 2 assists in 21 games. Liverpool are also said to part ways with their main striker Darwin Nunez. This suggests that a new striker may land at Anfield this summer.

Jota can be a good addition to Arsenal squad. He can act as backup striker or as backup winger. Mikel Arteta will love to have a well established player having Premier League experience. It will be interesting to see if Gunners step up their interest in coming months.
