Arsenal have been long term admirers of the 22 year old. They were keen to sign him in summer 2024 itself after the Spaniard’s superb display in Euros. However, they missed him due to various reasons. Athletic Club are firm with their demands of wanting €58 million which is the winger’s release clause.
Spurs may fall behind in the pursuit of Williams as they can’t provide him with Champions League football. In addition, they are likely to miss on all European competitions as said above. This will push them further back in the race.
