Arsenal star made ‘priority target’ by Real Madrid

One Arsenal star has been made priority target by Real Madrid for summer window. The Spanish giants are willing to create history by landing the Gunners star.

The star in question here is William Saliba who is the main defender for Arsenal. He has been key part of Mikel Arteta’s plans along with his partner Gabriel Magalhaes. Gunners are never the same on the pitch without him at the back.

Saliba joined Gunners in 2019 and went on 3 different loan moves. He was being made part of Arsenal’s first team 2022 after which he has never looked back. Over the past 3 seasons, the Frenchman has been the backbone of the North London club.

Arsenal have no intention to let Saliba leave. The defender is still only 23 years old and Gunners want him to be them for very long time. However, Saliba’s top form has attracting penalty of top clubs amongst which one is Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Real Madrid desperate to lure Saliba away from Arsenal

Madrid have been keeping tabs on Saliba since a very long time. According to RMC Sport, Real Madrid have made Saliba their top priority for the summer transfer window. The report further states that the 23 year old will become the most expensive defender in the history if he opts to move away from the Emirates.

Madrid are willing to spend big on defensive signings in summer. They are very likely to bring in centre back along with full-backs. As for right-back, they are close to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold for free. They were also said to sign Alphanso Davies for free but he has extended his contract.

This means that Madrid will be in good position to spend big on centre back. Hence, they can submit a huge bid to test Gunners who may have to part ways with Saliba if he pushes for the move.
