Arsenal star opens door to exciting homecoming

There are always the rumours and linking of football players to different clubs. Sometimes, players too drop hints and the transfer experts quickly grasp on that hints. Same has been the case with Kieran Tierney who is very likely to leave Arsenal next year. Tierney has hinted a possible return to his boyhood club Celtic.

Tierney to leave Arsenal next year

Kieran Tierney joined Gunners in 2019 from Celtic. At that time he had been highly rated due to his amazing 4 seasons with Celtic. Tierney also became a key player for Arsenal and was playing regularly for the North London club.

But, last season he was sent on a season-long loan to Real Sociedad as he became surplus to the squad. Gunners had Zinchenko, Kiwior, Tomiyasu and Timber at that moment. This summer they signed Calafiori and hence wanted to part ways with Tierney permanently.

Tierney was unable to find a new club due to his injury. But it very likely seems that he may be put on sale next year. He was asked about what he thinks of the current situation. Tierney replied that Gunners have many players in that area and hence he might leave. But he was also ready if Gunners gave him opportunity to play and said that he is prepared for both.

Tierney hints a return to Celtic

Tierney was recently spotted in the Celtic Foundation’s Annual Gala Event. The charity event took place in London and as per Football London, it has raised £420,000 for foundation.

Tierney was seen with his former Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers. Rodgers has joined Celtic once again last year. The duo worked together earlier and Tierney thrived under the management of Rodgers.

Tierney was the product of Celtic academy and also started his senior career there. He has made 170 appearances for Scottish giants and has been able to score 8 times and assist 27 times. Celtic fans will be happy to welcome their hero back next year.
