Arsenal are set to face Leicester City in Premier League clash tomorrow. They have been handed a major boost as one of their injured star is set to make a return back to the pitch.
The star in question here is Ben White. The 27 year old has been Mikel Arteta’s first choice right-back since a long-time. He has played really well in that position despite originally being centre-back. White is trusted by Arteta a lot, and the defender has given no chance to complain about it.
The 27 year old has not been playing since early November. Firstly, he faced injury which seemed normal that time. But, it was revealed later that he needs to undergo surgery. As a result, White had to miss multiple games in the process.
Ben White set to return in Arsenal vs Leicester clash
Fabrizio Romano has shared latest updates about Ben White from Mikel Arteta. The Arsenal boss has confirmed that the 27 year old will be present in the squad against Leicester City. It will be interesting to see if White is given some minutes on the pitch or not.
Jurrien Timber has started the games recently as right-back. He is expected to start tomorrow too. However, he will be in pressure to keep the hold of this position in the upcoming days. Ben White will make it very hard for him to play regularly as right back.
White will add more quality to the Arsenal’s already strong defensive line. Gunners have experienced a dip in their defensive record when compared to last season. But, White has came back in the crucial time of the season. It will be interesting to see if he is able to improve the results. Mikel Arteta will have a very busy task now as he will have to choose top 4 from all the available options.
