Arsenal target another Barca player after failure in landing Raphinha

Gunners are in search of a winger and were linked with Raphinha. But, now the Brazilian winger seems untouchable and Arsenal have shifted their focus on Ferran Torres. Along with Gunners, two other Premier League clubs are also keen.

Arsenal are very likely to reject the offer of signing Raheem Sterling permanently. They are also said to finally part ways with Gabriel Jesus. This will force them to go strongly after attacking options next year.

Earlier, Gunners viewed Raphinha as their next potential winger. Barcelona were also weighing up their options and said ready to part ways with Brazilian. But now, Raphinha has emerged as a key player for Hansi Flick.

Raphinha has scored 9 goals and picked 8 assists in 13 games this season. He is now being made untouchable by the Spanish giants. Barca may now look at other options who might be sold next year and Ferran Torres is one of them.

Arsenal plotting a move for Ferran Torres

As per TBR Football, Gunners are planning to make a move for Ferran Torres. The report also says that Mikel Arteta is huge fan of the winger who can also play as a striker. Along with Arsenal, Aston Villa and Newcastle United are also keen to sign Torres.

Torres is finding it hard to fit in the new system. He has only been able to score 1 goal and pick 2 assists in 10 games this season. The Spanish star is often used as a substitute and as of now it does not seem like he claim his place as a regular starter soon.

The Premier League clubs can take advantage of this situation and sign the former Man City player. Torres has already shone in Premier League and hence can adapt to the English environment quickly.

Torres can help Gunners in lot of positions. He can play on any wing and be an essential backup for both Saka and Martinelli. In addition, he can play as a striker easing the goal scoring pressure currently being experienced by Gunners.
