Duran has only started 7 out of 26 games. He is the second choice striker below Ollie Watkins. The Colombian is too good to sit on bench and hence may be open to move. He is being viewed by many clubs ahead of the upcoming window.

According to CaughtOffside, Villa are keeping tabs on Mateo Retegui. Retegui has been on the radar of Arsenal since the past few months. The North London club also had scouts placed on the Italian.
Retegui has been one of the best strikers in the world this season. The 25 year old has 14 goals and 4 assists in 24 games so far. He is also a regular member of Italy national team now.
Gunners are in desperate need to sign a striker next year. Retegui could be a good addition to the club but now they need to fight with Villa in the race. As of now, they do have lead over Villa due to multiple reasons.
Firstly, Arsenal can provide Retegui with Champions League football. Villa can provide it too but they might miss on the spot next season. In addition, Retegui will directly get in the starting lineup at North London as they don’t have a proper number nine.
