One Arsenal target will be available for £62.5 million in the upcoming summer transfer window. Gunners have been linked with the player since long time and have showcased their interest on multiple occasions.

The star in question here is Mathues Cunha who has been the backbone of Wolves this season. He is having a superb season where he has scored 11 goals along with picking 4 assists in 23 Premier League games. This has forced multiple clubs to moniter him closely.

Gunners have been the frontrunners in the race to sign Cunha. Infact, they were said to be interested in the 25 year old since his move to Wolves in January 2023. They are said to step up their interest and make a move this summer.

Can Arsenal sign Cunha in summer?

Earlier, there was news that Gunners may sign Cunha in January itself. But, the North London club did not make any effort in landing him. As a result, Cunha signed a new contract with Wolves which has extended his stay until 2029.

However, Cunha now has a release clause in his new contract. Ben Jacobs has reported that there will be a £62.5 million release clause which will be activated from this summer. Hence, Gunners can sign the 25 year old but will have yo pay his release clause fully.

Cunha will be a great addition to Arsenal squad. Firstly, he can provide on both wings of required. In addition, he can act as striker whenever Mikel Arteta feels the need along with adding a creative touch when playing in his preferred attacking midfield position.

It will be interesting to see if Gunners still keep their interest in Cunha. They also have many other players on their radar. As of now, they have Benjamin Sesko, Nico Williams, Alexander Isak and many more. It will surely be a very busy summer window for Gunners.
