One of the Arsneal’s targets is Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush. The 25 year old has been chased by Liverpool who were once favourites to land him. However, they are now focused to extend the contract of Mohamed Salah.
This gave Arsenal the lead in Marmoush race. The 25 year old’s current club has now made his available in the transfer market. According to Florian Plettenberg, Frankfurt are ready to let Marmoush leave for €80 million.
Gunners will find it hard to pay such a big amount and that too in the middle of the season. However, Frankfurt are in a very strong state to stay firm with their demands. This is due to him not having release clause. In addition, the attacker has been in superb form this season.
Marmoush has 18 goals and 11 assists in 24 games this season. He is one if the best players in the world right now. His form gives other clubs a very less chance to argue with Frankfurt’s demands. In addition, the 25 year old has many other clubs interested in him.
Man City leading the race to sign Marmoush
As of now, Manchester City are leading the race to sign Omar Marmoush. City are in the worst phase under Pep Guardiola who is keen to improve his squad by making major signings. However, City too are finding it hard to agree on the €80 million mark.
Man City value Marmoush somewhere around €50 million to €60 million. This is the same valuation as that of Marmoush’s camp. City are keen to land him but there have not been any negotiations between the both clubs.
