Arsenal target prefers a move to Spain this summer

Arsenal are keen to land one of the best strikers in the world right now. But, their target prefers a move to Spain which can disrupt their plans.

Gunners are keen to add a clinical striker to their squad this summer. They tried to do so in summer 2024 itself, but failed to reach any agreement. Later, they again tried last month but the result was same once again. But, they are surely going to land a world-class number nine this summer.

Arsenal have Isak on their priority list

Gunners have Alexander Isak on their priority list for summer. They also have some other names like Benjamin Sesko but Isak’s form makes him key target. However, it will not be easy to land the Newcastle United striker.

Firstly, the Magpies are keen yo keep the hold of Isak. Hence, they have made it clear that it will require British record fee to lure Isak away from them. Earlier, it was said that the transfer fee can reach upto £130 million mark.

Isak prefers a move back to Spain

Now, Arsenal have been handed another blow in the pursuit of Isak. As per El Nacional, the Swedish striker prefers a move back to Spain. He wants to join FC Barcelona over other Premier League clubs.

However, it will prove very hard for Barca to agree financial terms with Newcastle. They are not in a good financial situation and this may result in deal ending in failure. Hence, Gunners can still stay optimistic about the signing of 25 year old.

On the other hand, Barca are also linked with Viktor Gyokeres. They are said to offer Sporting Vitor Roque in order to attain a potential swap deal. They are keen to bring new striker who can replace Robert Lewandowski who is nearing the end of his career.
