Osimhen was very close to sign for Paris Saint-Germain. However the deal failed as PSG were not ready to pay his €130 million release clause. This price is very high but Osimhen is able to justify that price. Last season he missed many matches due to injury. However he still scores 15 goals in 25 matches. Why will Martin Odegaard improve if Arsenal are able to sign Osimhen
Martin Odegaard has been a main player for Gunners ever since his arrival. He has been very good in playmaking along with scoring goals. However he has been able to claim only 25 assists in 153 matches. This numbers seems very low if we consider how good Odegaard is in each match. The main reason has been the poor finishing from the strikers. Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah have only scored 9 goals combined last season. Kai Havertz did a good job but he is not a proper number nine.
Arrival of Osimhen will surely increase Odegaard’s assists. Osimhen is very clinical in front of the goal. In addition, he has been way better than both Havertz and Jesus last two seasons. Havertz had 0.21 goal involvements in 2022/23 season, while as Jesus had 0.54 per match. Osimhen was unstoppable that season and had 0.92 goal involvements per match. On 2023/24 season, Osimhen once again had the upper hand over these two Arsenal stars. Havertz had 0.32 while Jesus had 0.44 goal involvements per match. Osimhen finished the season with 0.65 goal involvements per match. This may give a little idea about why Osimhen will help Odegaard in becoming the best midfielder in the Premier League.
