Arsenal tipped to sign their long-term target with the help of Andrea Berta
Former Arsenal striker Jeremie Aliadiere has said that Andrea Berta can pave way for one Arsenal target this summer. The star in question is Matheus Cunha who has been world-class for Wolves this season.
“Berta knows Cunha from their time at Atletico Madrid and it could be a deal that goes through” – Aliadiere speaking to AceOdds.com as quoted by Metro.
Berta signed Cunha for Atletico in summer 2021 for around €30 million. Later, he was being sold to Wolves in summer 2023 for €50 million. Berta can once again opt to sign Cunha and this time for Arsenal who have him on radar since long time.
Cunha has recently signed a new contract with Wolves. He has £62.5 million release clause in his new contract that will be activated in summer. Wolves will demand it to be paid fully in order to part ways with their key asset.
Cunha can play as attacking midfielder, left winger, striker and even as left midfielder. This makes him key asset in any team. In addition, he has been in superb form as he has scored 15 goals and picked 4 assists in 29 games.
