Arsenal to consider sale of their young attacker in summer

Arsenal might sell their young attacking star this summer despite his importance in the squad. He has been first-choice player for Mikel Arteta but still finds his future uncertain at North London.

Gunners are set for major changes in the summer transfer window. They are set to welcome new stars in almost all positions. As of now, their priority is attackers but are also in need of new midfielders. Lastly, they also want a new keeper.

The North London club wants to sign a striker and a winger to improve their attacking unite. They have many players linked with the club. As for striker, they have Isak and Sesko whereas for winger they have Nico Williams.

All of the above mentioned players will require a hefty transfer fee. In addition, new midfielders will also require big fees and hence Gunners need to plan things wisely. This may also force them to sell some of the current players.

Arsenal might consider selling Gabriel Martinelli

A report from Goal states that Gunners might consider selling Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli. Trossard is now 30 years old and will have 1 year left on his contract this summer. But, the situation is different for Martinelli.

Martinelli is only 23 years old and has many years left in his career. In addition, he is regular starter for Mikel Arteta unlike Leandro Trossard. However, the North London giants might still sell him to generate funds for new stars.

Martinelli has experienced a dip in his form in recent seasons. The 2022/23 season was his best where he scored 15 goals and picked 6 assists. But, last season the Brazilian failed to carry forward good form. The situation has been same this season too as he has scored just 7 goals along with 4 assists in 35 games.
