Arsenal star William Saliba is the top priority target of Real Madrid for the upcoming summer. Saliba is one of the most important players for Gunners but the North London club are now said to let him leave if their one particular demand is fulfilled by Los Blancos.
Saliba has been one of the key players for Arsenal since the past few seasons. He is their main man in defence and rated very highly by both club and manager. Despite being only 23 years old, he has been integral part of Arsenal’s latest success.
Gunners have no intention to let Saliba leave. But, the Frenchman has been looked upon by many top clubs. As of now, he is constantly looked upon by Spanish giants Real Madrid. Earlier it was reported that Madrid have made Saliba their top priority for the summer window.
Madrid can convince Saliba to join them and ask him to force a move. It will come as a big blow for Gunners. But, the North London club may have to let Saliba leave if he himself doesn’t want to stay with them. Now, it is reported that Gunners have taken a major decision about Saliba’s future.
Arsenal will allow to let Saliba leave if Madrid fulfills their demand
According to Daily Star, the North London club will sanction Saliba’s sale if Madrid pay world-record transfer fee for defender. As of now, the record is held by Josko Gvardiol who costed Man City €89 million. Los Blancos may need to pay around €100 million for the French defender.
Even if Gunners earn a hefty profit from Saliba’s sale it will leave a huge void in their squad. It is almost impossible to replace players like Saliba. Hence, Arsenal will firstly try to convince Saliba to stay with them and offer a new contract as well.
