- Arsenal are interested to sign Adam Wharton from Crystal Palace
- The 20 year old has already made his international debut for England
- The reports say that the January move is possible as the player is open to move away from Selhurst Park
Arsenal are keen to improve their midfield next year. They want to find a long term replacement for Jorginho and Thomas Partey. Both of these players are in the final year of contract. As of now, there are no signs of extension.
Gunners are very heavily linked with Martin Zubimendi. The Spaniard was linked with Liverpool and Arsenal already this summer but then rejected to move away from Spain. He has once again emerged as a target for both clubs.
Arsenal are also keeping close eye on young talents in particular. They have sights on one of such talents, who has already proved himself in Premier League this season.
Arsenal plotting a January move for Adam Wharton
As per CaughtOffside, Gunners are interested to sign Wharton and are planning to make a move in January. The report further states that the player is open to move due to the current situation at Crystal Palace.
Crystal Palace are currently on the 19th position in Premier League. Hence, the players may look for an exit as then will not want to play in Championship. This will give Arsenal a very good chance to snatch Wharton away from Palace.
Lastly, Gunners believe that Wharton can be signed at around €55 million. But, Palace want around €65 million and his current contract which runs until 2029, makes Palace’s stance very strong.
Arsenal are not the only one keen to sign the 20 year old. Manchester City also view his a long-term solution for Rodri who’s absence they have felt to a vast extent in recent games. Liverpool too share an interest as they are keen to improve midfield despite having a very good squad.
