Arsenal are in desperate need to improve their attack this year. They have been linked with many of the top players across whole Europe. However, one of their targets is unwilling to make English switch.
Gunners have been highly tested this season due to constant injury. They have learnt that their is lack of spark in attacking unit. They have been overly dependent on Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz.
Saka has recently underwent surgery and will miss many months. This has increased the problems of the North London club. Mikel Arteta is now determined to sign a winger along with clinical striker.
There are many wingers linked with a move to the Emirates stadium. One of them is Leroy Sane who has already proved himself in England. He won 2 Premier League titles with Man City before joining Bayern Munich.
Arsenal to miss out on Leroy Sane
Gunners have been heavily linked with Sane who can play on both wings. In addition, he will be out of contract at the end of the season. The North London club are dreaming of signing him on free transfer but the player thinks otherwise.
Journalist Florian Plettenberg has reported that Sane is unwilling to move away from Bayern Munich. Instead, he wants to extend his contract with the German giants. This will come as a big blow for Arsenal who will now have to turn their attention to other wingers.
Lastly, Plettenberg reported that Bayern bosses are still hesitated to offer Sane a contract renewal. He has fallen down the pecking order and has started only 5 league games this season.
Sane could have costed Gunners very little this month. The German will turn 29 in few days and still has lot to offer at the top level. However, Mikel Arteta will now need to monitor other players on their wishlist.
