Arsenal to sign Dutch defender but only if …

Arsenal are amongst the clubs showing interest in young Dutch defender. But, they will make a move for him this summer only if one of their current players in particular leaves the club.

Gunners have one of the best defensive units in the world right now. They have been very strong in the backline due to the amazing job done by Mikel Arteta. Players like Saliba, Gabriel, White and many more have made them impenetrable.

This summer, the top priority of the North London club will be to make signings in the final third. They are set to sign a striker and a winger. Later, they will make 2 midfield signings to replace Partey and Jorginho. Lastly, they will sign a backup keeper.

However, Gunners can be also seen to make some defensive signings. It is due to the fact of some of the current players leaving the club. They have one young Dutch defender on their radar who is the top priority of Liverpool.

Arsenal interested in young Ajax defender

The star in question here is Jorrel Hato of Ajax. He is 19 years old and can play as left-back and centre-back. Along with Ajax, he is now the regular member of Netherlands national team. He has so far played 45 games for Dutch giants and has recorded 3 goals with 6 assists.

According to Daily Mirror, Gunners will opt to make a move for Hato only if Jakub Kiwior leaves the club. The Poland international has played a vital role for Mikel Arteta. But, he finds himself way behind in pecking order. Hence, he is willing to leave North London due to lack of regular game-time.

In addition, Arsenal are willing to part ways with Oleksandr Zinchenko. Lastly, Tomiyasu has been highly injury prone due to which Gunners are worried. Hence, they may be seen making a move for another versatile defender this summer.
