Arsenal told to ‘break the bank’ for world class striker

Arsenal have been told to go all out and break the bank to sign one particular striker. The claim has been made by their club legend who seems a great fan of the striker.

Gunners wanted to sign a striker in summer but were unable to do so. They were linked with some of the top names in world football. Due to not reaching agreement, Mikel Arteta had to stick with the available options.

The Spaniard made Kai Havertz his main striker. He sold Nketiah and kept Jesus on the bench. Havertz has been doing great job but he is not a proper number nine. In addition, Jesus has been good recently but has underperformed most of the season.

Arsenal are very likely to sign a new striker this year. They do have big names linked with the club but have showed hesitation when spending big. Now, one club legend has urged them to go all of for their top target.

As of now, Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak is the top priority of the North London club. The 25 year old has been in superb form since last year. The Magpies are unwilling to sell him and are demanding a hefty fee.

Gunners will need to break their club record in order to sign Isak. The 25 year old can even become the British record signing this summer. Still, Arsenal legend Paul Merson wants to club to go all out for the Sweden international.

“If I was Arsenal and had the money, I’d go out and buy Alexander Isak. I’d break the bank for him. He’s the best of the best and takes Arsenal to another level” – Paul Merson while speaking to Sky Sports.

Isak has been superb once again this season. He has 12 goals and 4 assists in 18 Premier League games. Newcastle are on the fifth position in league and earlier their were reports that Isak is prepared to stay if the Magpies qualify for UCL.
