Arsenal transfer news: Top 5 summer targets

Arsenal had a very quiet January transfer window. They failed to make any new addition to the squad. But, they are now set to have a very big and very busy summer transfer window. Here are their top five targets for summer.

Mikel Arteta keen to sign Spanish keeper

Mikel Arteta will force Gunners to once again go after Joan Garcia. The North London club were keen to sign Garcia in summer 2024 but failed to do so. They offered €20 million for the Spanish keeper but Espanyol wanted €30 million.

Earlier, it was reported that Gunners have been in contact with Garcia’s representatives. They held talks before their UCL clash against Girona. Hence, it is very likely that the North London club make a move for Garcia once again in summer.

2 midfielders to make a move to the Emirates

Gunners are set to make 2 new additions to their midfield department. Sami Mokbel has reported that Martin Zubimendi is very likely to join the North London club in summer. He too has been linked with Gunners since the last summer. Arsenal will need to pay €60 million to Real Sociedad to sign Zubimendi.

The second midfielder in line is Sverre Nypan who was close to join Gunners this window itself. The 18 year old is also looked upon by other clubs but Gunners are said to be frontrunners in the race.

Arsenal to spend big on attacking department

Gunners are set to spend big on attacking department which is said to be their priority. They are very likely to make 2 new signings. There can be one new winger and one new striker joining the North London club in summer.

As for winger, Gunners have 2 options right now who have both been long-term targets. First is Nico Williams who will cost €58 million. Second is Mathues Cunha who can be signed for €75 million.

Now as for striker, there are two names popping up from long time. First one is Benjamin Sesko who Gunners wanted to sign last summer itself. Second is Alexander Isak for whom Gunners will need to break the British transfer fee record.
