Arsenal have their eyes set on young and world-class striker for summer. The player’s current club has now finalized his transfer fee which suggests that the player will be surely available in summer market.
Gunners have clinical striker as the club’s top priority for summer window. They are keen to sign an upgrade on both Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus. There are many world-class strikers being linked with the North London club.
Arsenal have Isak as one of their top targets but signing him will be very hard. He will need a transfer fee of around £150 million and Gunners may struggle to pay that sum. They also need to improve other positions and hence may give up on Isak.
Along with Isak, the North London club have Benjamin Sesko on their radar. Sesko was first linked with Gunners in summer 2024 but the deal failed back then. The Slovenian then signed a contract extension at Leipzig until 2029.
Sesko is once again on Arsenal’s radar and this time he can be open for a move. The North London club are said to be frontrunners in the race despite being joined by multiple other clubs. He is lot younger than Isak and can be signed for much lower fee.
How much will Benjamin Sesko cost Arsenal?
Florian Plettenberg has reported that Sesko has now fixed a release clause in his contract. The clause will increase with various factors like goals, assists and games played. The clause will be activated this summer and Leipzig will surely want interested clubs to pay it fully.
As of now, Sesko’s clause is at around €70 million. But, it is very likely to increase upto around €80 million at the end of the season. It is still a lot less than what Isak will cost and im addition, the player is 4 years younger than the Sweden international too.
