Arsenal are said to part ways with as much as 11 players in the summer transfer window. They are keen to raise funds in order to bring in their top targets.
Mikel Arteta has already declared that it will be a big summer window. The Spaniard wants to bring in some key players. Now that Andrea Berta has finally taken over as sporting director, the transfer activity is expected to speed-up.
Gunners are planning to bring in a new striker and new winger. In addition, they will also need to sign midfielders and backup keepers. Hence, the club should also focus on selling some current players to generate funds and comply with PSR.
Arsenal set to part ways with as much as 11 players this summer
According to The Mirror, Gunners can be seen parting ways with 11 of their current players. Some of these will leave for free and some will get sold. The players linked with exit are Partey, Jorginho, Kiwior, Zinchenko, Tierney, Tavares, Lokonga, Nelson, Vieira, Trossard and Tomiyasu. In addition, Neto and Sterling are also set to leave after their loan move.
Partey, Jorginho and Tierney are set to leave as free agents. They will be out of contract this summer and Gunners have decided not to extend. On the other hand, Neto and Sterling are on loan and hence Gunners can’t earn profit from them.
Nelson, Tavares, Lokonga and Vieira are already on loan away from North London. They are no longer part of Mikel Arteta’s future plans. Hence, they have very slim chance to get back into the Gunners squad.
Lastly, Gunners can earn a good profit from the sale of Zinchenko and Kiwior. On the other hand, they can bag hefty profit from sale of Trossard. The Belgian is on the radar of Saudi clubs with Gunners ready to sell him as he will enter the final year of his contract this summer.
