Arsenal view 27 G/A striker as Isak alternative

Arsenal are keen to land a new striker this summer. They have Alexander Isak as the top priority but signing him will not be easy. As a result, they have identified French striker with 27 goal involvements as his alternative.

Mikel Arteta desperately wants a new striker this summer. He has identified the number nine position as the missing piece of the puzzle. The board is expected to back Arteta in order to put an end to their Premier League title drought.

Gunners are linked with many big name striker across whole world. Their top target is Alexander Isak of Newcastle United. The Sweden international has been one of the best strikers in the world since last season. Signing him will be a hard task for any interested club.

The Magpies want atleast £150 million for Isak. This makes it extremely hard for Gunners to sign him. Mikel Arteta also needs to improve other areas like wing and midfield. Hence, the North London club may drop their interest in Isak.

According to Daily Mirror, Mikel Arteta has identified Hugo Ekitike as an alternative for Alexander Isak. He is 22 years old French striker who currently plays for Frankfurt. The German outfit will demand as high as £66 million for Ekitike.

Ekitike has been superb this season for Frankfurt. He has scored 19 goals and picked 8 assists in 39 games. He can also play on left wing when require establishing himself as key asset. Gunner can convince him easily as joining them will be a huge step up in his career.

Gunners also have some other options available in market. They have Benjamin Sesko who is likely to leave Leipzig this summer. Lastly, they have been heavily linked with Viktor Gyokeres who has been unstoppable since last season.
