Since Mikel Arteta got appointed on December 2019, Arsenal has not reached a high level of success really. They have been in good form but they just miss the goal by a few losses.

Mikel Arteta was given a struggling squad when he joined. But, at the moment he is picking the squad up and making it even better and and always finishing top four in every season.

The recruitment and the academy players has been very good. The dedication of Mikel Arteta and the players has been very good as well. The Gunners were very close to winning the Premiere League two seasons in a row.

The recent signings has also helped in the current progression of Arsenal. The funds are also needed to sign some new stars for the First team.

Folarin Balogun decision:

Folarin Balogun who came from Arsenal’s academy was also expected to be a very key player in the Arsenal squad for the first team. He only made 10 appearances for the Gunners He left Arsenal to join AS Monaco, the French Giants for Arsenal were lucky by selling Folarin Balogun for £33 million. Folarin Balogun scored 11 goals in 40 games for Monaco. He proved to be a very solid option as a good goalscorer. It was actually a very good decision by Arteta to sell the American because the sum AS Monaco was giving is very huge.

Alex Iwobi decision:

Alex Iwobi was sold for £28 million to Everton. This was another great business done by Arsenal in recent years. He appeared more than Balogun for Arsenal. The transfer was very good because the fund boosted the club’s progress.

Iwobi appeared 180 times for Everton and Fulham. The level of performance that was expected is not close at all to his price and his real performance in the matches. The duo left the Gunners for a very good sum, boosting Arsenal’s business and growth.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain decision:

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain came to Arsenal when he was just 17. He was 6 years in Arsenal. Alex played really well. He came to Arsenal from Southampton for a sum total of £12 million. He played 198 games for the Gunners and also gave the fans some memorable moments to remember.

In 2015, he scored the winning goal for Arsenal to win them the Community Shield. He played a very versatile role in Arsenal. He also featured against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League. Over the last few years, he became very injury prone. The Gunners made the right decision to sell him to Liverpool for £35 million in 2017.

Chamberlain suffered very serious knee injuries. He could not reach his full potential because he did not play enough for most of his career. Ever since he left Arsenal, he stopped performing well. His price went down in the Transfer Market as well. He went from £35 million to £2.5 million.

It hurts so see such an exciting player fail in the career. They made so many promises but could not reach the heights. Injuries ruined the career of the midfielder who made so many memories at the Emirates for the fans.

It may seem like a departure which was uncalled for but it was still the right decision for Arsenal. It was the right decision because the price of the England International was at its peak.

Arsenal made many decisions in the Transfer Market which boosted their funds for their progress. They have been in their best form right now since the last few seasons.
