- Arsenal still have interest to sign Real Sociedad star Martin Zubimendi
- The Spanish club are finding it hard to turn down Arsenal’s interest
- The 25 year old is very likely to move to Premier League as Liverpool too are keeping tabs on him
Martin Zubimendi was already headed to Premier League this summer. He was highly considered by Arsenal and Liverpool. But the 25 year old had no intention to leave Spain.
Gunners then signed his team mate Mikel Merino. On the other hand, Liverpool ended the transfer window without any midfield signing. But, the Reds are still going strong and are on top of league table.
Martin Zubimendi is said to be in regret for turning down offers from English clubs. He is now said to be prepared to move away from Spain. England still remains his possible next destinations with both Arsenal and Liverpool keen to sign him.
Sociedad finding it hard to convince Zubimendi amidst interest from Arsenal
As per Fichajes, Real Sociedad are finding it very hard to convince Zubimendi to stay with them. Arsenal seem to have stepped up their interest due to need of improvement.
Thomas Partey and Jorginho are both to leave the club for free next summer. This will leave a huge void in midfield department. Zubimendi looks very likely to be able to fill that void.
Arsenal already have good relationship with Spanish club. It is going to improve even further as their director Roberto Olabe is being monitored by Gunners for the Sporting Director role at North London.
But Gunners will surely face a heavy competition from Liverpool. The Reds will be ready to spend big as they had a very quiet summer transfer window. Midfield is their least concern but they will still like to prepare for future.
