Arsenal’s young star headed to Italy in January

  • Arsenal star Jakub Kiwior is very likely to move away from the Emirates
  • The 24 year old is very likely to return to Italy with many clubs interested in him
  • Gunners are now open to listen to offers for Polish international in January

Arsenal signed Jakub Kiwior in January 2023 from Spezia. The defender had already proved himself in Italy. He played a key role in Arsenal’s Premier League run last season.

Kiwior played 30 matches last season and played as a centre back as well as a fullback. He was trusted by Mikel Arteta to feature in the backline and hence Gunners did not part ways with him this summer despite getting offers.

But this season, Kiwior has received very little game time. He has played 7 matches but has started only in 2 of them. This has resulted to him having only 321 minutes of game time. In addition, he is yet to start any game in Premier League.

Kiwior has fallen down the pecking order to a huge extent. He is not even getting to play as fullback now because of Calafiori and Timber. This will very likely result in him leaving the Emirates in the upcoming transfer window.

Arsenal now prepared to part ways with Jakub Kiwior

As per CaughtOffside, many of the Serie A clubs are keen to sign Kiwior in January. The report further states that Gunners are now very likely to consider offers for the 24 year old in January.

Arsenal will plan to demand atleast £20 million for Kiwior. It is the same amount they paid to sign him from Spezia. But, the interested clubs may opt to go for a loan move in January. They may like to moniter the player for half season before handing him a long contract.

As of now, AC Milan, Juventus, Napoli and Bologna are keen to sign the defender. The move will also depend on what Kiwior thinks. But one can expect that the 24 year old may be open for a move as he will get the much needed regular football somewhere else.
