Arsenal are said to sell seven of their first team players next year. Mikel Arteta feels like the players have very little to offer and hence is prepared to part ways with them.
Arsenal had a decent summer transfer window. They parted ways with some, sent some on loan whereas signed some new faces. Now, all eyes have turned to the upcoming windows.
It has been reported that the Gunners will not make any big signings in January. This suggests they will only find temporary solutions. In addition, it suggests that they will very likely sell instead of buying players.
Arsenal to sell 7 players next year
As per The Athletic, Gunners are open to sell Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Jakub Kiwior, Reiss Nelson, Nuno Tavares and Albert Sambi-Lokonga. This six players have repeatedly been on chopping list.
Jesus and Zinchenko arrived from Man City and had a very good impact on Arsenal team. They helped the club to challenge City for the Premier League title. But both players have experienced dip in their performances and hence have fell down the pecking order.
Jakub Kiwior has shown his worth whenever he has been handed a chance. He has done really good but has failed to claim the starting spot. This has resulted in him getting very less game time and hence move away is expected.
Nuno Tavares is having the time of his life at Lazio. It seems like the Italian club will soon turn the loan deal into permanent deal. Same has been the case for Reiss Nelson who has expressed his desire of continuing at Fulham beyond his loan move.
Albert Sambi-Lokonga is also on loan at Sevilla this season. He has failed to impress so far due to injury but is now fully fit and will hope to impress the Spanish side and earn himself a permanent move.
Besides this 6 players, Arsenal are also keen to part ways with Kieran Tierney. The player spend last season on loan and is yet to play this season. He was linked with away move this summer but the deal never happened due to the injury sustained by him while representing Scotland in Euro 2024.
