Aston Villa are plotting a late January move to sign Chelsea star on loan. The Blues star has fallen down the pecking order and is having hard time at Stamford Bridge with Blues open to part ways with him.
The star in question here is Axel Disasi who joined Chelsea in 2023 from Monaco. He played 44 games in his first season but failed to adapt to Premier League football. As a result, he feel down the pecking order and is not a first choice defender.
Disasi has played only 17 games this season with only 6 of those coming in Premier League. He has started only 4 league games making it only 365 minutes in league so far. The Blues are open to sell him as they want to sign other quality stars. A sale will help generate funds, open up space and comply with PSR.

According to Football Insider, Villa are plotting a loan move for Disasi. Diego Carlos left Villa recently to join Fenerbahce. This has opened by space in defensive line and Unai Emery is keen to fill it this month itself.
Disasi can be a good addition to Villa. A loan move will allow Emery to monitor the player’s quality before handing him a permanent deal. As for the player, this will he a perfect chance to showcase his true colours on the top stage. He will also get to play Champions League football with Villa.
Chelsea can sanction a loan move but may ask for an obligation to buy. They are keen to sell Disasi in order to generate funds for Marc Guehi. In addition, they have also been linked with Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen. Lastly, Chelsea have recalled Trevoh Chalobah due to which Disasi’s departure will not be missed.
