Barca are very likely to hijack plans of Chelsea football club. They are planning to sign one highly rated German star next year. The questioned star is open for a move away from current club next year.
The star in question here is Jonathan Tah. Tah has been the main player for Bayer Leverkusen since a long time. This is his 10th season playing for them. He helped the German side to win Bundesliga title for the first time last year.
Tah has developed into one of the best defenders. He is main player for Germany national team and has so far played 33 matches for country. Bayer are happy with Tah but the player will be out of contract at the end of the season.
It is reported that Tah will move away at the end of the season. He will turn 29 in February which suggests he has some more years left at the top level. Chelsea were being linked with the player due to his availability.
The Blues once signed Thiago Silva on free transfer who helped them win Champions League title. Tah can be a similar addition due being available for free and his vast experience. The one thing Chelsea are lacking currently is leadership and experience in defence.
Barca likely to hamper plans of Chelsea by signing Tah next year
The Blues would have loved to have Tah by their side next year. But Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Barcelona are in advanced talks with Tah. He added that the Spanish giants are keen to sign him for free in summer and talks are progressing really well.
This is not the first time Barca are hijacking Chelsea’s plans. They did it earlier when they signed Raphinha and Jules Kounde both in same window who were on the radar of West London club.
