Barcelona and Arsenal- swap deal for Coutinho and Aubameyang

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

According to Journalist Kaven Solhekol, FC Barcelona and Arsenal are involved in a swap deal for Philippe Coutinho and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Gunners are in a need of a midfielder and the Catalans are said to be finding an option for injured Sergio Aguero. Following this reason, both the clubs are considering a swap deal.

However, it seems unlikely that a swap deal involving Coutinho and Aubameyang to go through. Coutinho on one hand is labelled as a €100 million flop star by football pundits and fans. While on the other hand, Aubameyang is an out-form striker for the gunners. One more thing that both have in common is their huge wage bill. Following these stats, it is impossible to believe that Barcelona and Arsenal will be involved in such a bad deal.

Barcelona have already a good number of forwards this season and they should concentrate on offloading players. While Arsenal have a better option than Coutinho for their midfield that is Martin Odegaard. The gunners have a good chance to swoop the youngster from Real Madrid after his current conflict of less game time.

Famous Journalist Fabrizio Romano has already confirmed that Barcelona have no interest in signing Aubameyang. But Barcelona have full intention to sell flop star Coutinho this summer. The club has already listed him for transfer and waiting for a buyer to sign him before the transfer window closes.

If Barcelona are successful in off-loading Coutinho this summer then would have a rock lifted up their chest. He takes home an enormous wage despite failing to perform consistently. However, Arsenal are not a buyer for Coutinho this summer. So the swap deal involving Coutinho and Aubameyang is off the books for both clubs.
