Barcelona are inches away from signing Lewandowski

Bayern Munich

Good news for Barca fans as they’re closer than ever to signing Lewandowski from Bayern Munich.
Last week’s assembly vote to activate the ‘economic levers’ means Barcelona is going to get a major influx of funds to operate comfortably in the transfer market. This window is particularly important as this is Xavi’s first full season as the coach of Barcelona.
The activation of economic levers should ensure sufficient funds for transfer activity and also register new players with a comfortable salary.
A striker is a priority for Xavi this summer as they lack goals upfront. Although the arrival of Aubameyang has brought a little relief Xavi doesn’t want to depend on him alone.
Although the emergence of young talents such as Ansu Fati, Pedri, and Gavi has brought grip on the situation. Pedri played 70 matches in just 11 months which has shown incredible progress in his performance. But at this rate, the player becomes more frequent to be injured just like Ansu Fati, and has higher chances of burning out.

Barcelona are all in for Lewandowski

Barcelona needs someone who can be in charge up front to distribute pressure equally among the whole team. A striker who can deliver consistency along with reliability accompanied by a sharp performance.
Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich is the perfect player to solve Barca’s issues upfront. The player has been linked heavily with a move to Camp Nou for months. The only reason for causing the delay is Barca’s financial crisis.
Barcelona made an offer of £34.5 million but Bayern is expecting an offer between £50-60 million. The player himself wants to make a move to La Liga and has even refused to attend Bayern’s pre-season. Bayern is definitely in the pole position as they’re taking advantage of both sides.

Lewandowski still has a year left in his contract but doesn’t want to renew it with Bayern. According to some news, the player himself was looking to buy his way out of the club. The main reason Lewandowski is leaving is mainly due to missing out on Ballon d’Or every year.

Lewandowski still has got his sharpness and extra edge even after being 33 years old. Last season he scored 50 goals in 45 games for Bayern. He has won the european golden show award for the second time in a row. Barcelona are getting a player in the absolute mint condition who’ll deliver where ever he’s asked to.
