Barcelona eyeing potential Vitor Roque move to Camp Nou

In a previous report, Barcelona expressed serious interest in Brazilian prodigy, Vitor Roque. To lure the sensational teenager, the Catalan club is counting on its brand value. Roque’s agent and Deco’s relationship can also help the club land him. There is, however, competition from Manchester United and PSG, causing the operation to be complicated.

As a 17-year-old, Roque led his Curitiba club to an unlikely Copa Libertadores final appearance in 2022. However, Palmeiras of Sao Paulo eventually defeated them. Now that Memphis Depay left Barcelona for Atletico, the Catalans are looking for a promising young striker.

Vitor Roque to become Lewandowski heir at Barcelona?

There have been some updates regarding this potential transfer, according to a recent report from SPORT. He will remain at Athletico Paranaense for now and await a move from Barcelona in the summer.

Starting out at the Catalan club as Robert Lewandowski’s heir, he would gradually become more prominent at the club. In addition, he will only be able to sign a professional contract in February. It is, therefore, more logical for both Barcelona and Roque to make the move in the summer. Approximately €30 million is the value Athletico Paranaense assigns to their player.

As it turns out, Real Madrid bought another Brazilian starlet, Endrick, for €70 million from Palmeiras. Barcelona may not be able to spend such an amount right now, but they anticipate some of their fringe players will leave in the upcoming summer window, giving them more room to spend.
