Barcelona keeping tabs on Porto Star Luis Diaz has been made known of the price they have to pay in order to land the Colombian forward. The forward emerged as a top target for big European clubs this summer, with Barcelona and Bayern Munich in the list. But Diaz choose to stay with Porto this season. However, the club might sell him next summer if any club tables an offer of 30 million.
Luis Diaz joined the Portuguese side back in 2019 from Colombian club Junior FC, and since his debut he has appeared 105 times, scoring 30 goals. Following Diaz’s form last season, he was named in the Columbia squad for the Copa America 2021. However, he couldn’t take his team to the finals as Columbia lost to Argentina in the semi-finals. But he helped his national team finish in the third spot beating Peru by 3-2.
Following his development in the upfront last season, some clubs approached to sign the forward this summer. And the Luis Diaz interested list consisted of two big names, Barcelona and Bayern Munich. However, despite tempting big clubs offer in the summer, Diaz choose to continue at Porto this season. While the forward has already scored 5 goals in the 8 matches, he has played this season.
But talking about next summer, Luis Diaz’s life at Porto might be ending as the club wants to earn a profit by selling him. And the Portuguese club have valued the Colombian at 30 million for selling next summer. As of now, Barcelona are still keeping tabs on Luis Diaz as they look for forwarding enforcement.
The Catalans signed Memphis Depay this summer who is surely greatly adapting to his new changes. While Ansu Fati is a long-term option for the club in the upfront. But the club still needs another forward as they lost Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann this summer. Replacing Griezmann, Barcelona signed Luuk de Jong who has failed to make any impact.
While another new signing Sergio Aguero is still to make his debut for the club due to his injury. Following this situation, Barcelona are targeting Luis Diaz for signing next summer and will be obliged to pay 30 million for his services.
