Struggling Barcelona will take on Valencia at Camp Nou on Saturday evening in a La Liga fixture. Both clubs have so far had a very inconsistent campaign in La Liga would look to grab maximum points to move upwards in the table.
Valencia in recent games were held to a draw against Eibar and Athletic Club respectively whereas Barcelona edged past Real Sociedad and Levante recently.
Barcelona have struggled throughout this season where in 12 La Liga outings they have won 8 and lost four which isn’t the perfect start they would want to have.
Whereas Valencia picked up 13 points in 14 matches which shows what a disastrous start they have had.
This fixture will be a feisty one as both sides will look to outclass their opponents in order to secure victory and this fixture has a lot at stake as both the clubs Barcelona who are currently 5th in the table and Valencia who are 12th would want to win this match.
Barcelona vs Valencia team news:
Barcelona will again be unable to call up the following players such as Ansu Fati, Sergio Roberto, Gerrard Pique, and Ousmane Dembele against Valencia.
Clement Lenglet is in line to replace Oscar Mingueza in the middle of the defence, but it could be the same XI that started against Real Sociedad.
Martin Braithwaite is again expected to start on the left alongside Pedri and Antoine Griezmann who are likely to maintain their spots alongside Lionel Messi who will be the head of the attack.
As for Valencia, Kevin Gameiro and Jasper Cilessen are not available due to injuries and Toni Lato will also sidelined due to Covid 19.
However, Jose Gaya will be available to return as he recovered from his hamstring injury while Mouctar Diakhaby will replace Eliaquim Mangale to start at the back with Hugo Guillamon.
Manu Vallejo will retain his spot in the starting 11 alongside Maxi Gomez in the attack, while Goncalo Guedes, Carlos Soler, and Yunus Musah will all likely to start in the match against Barcelona.
We will witness an intense match where both teams will dominate proceedings but Barcelona will emerge as winners as Valencia has been experiencing defensive setbacks in La Liga and it will not be easy for them to keep a clean sheet against Barcelona.
Prediction: Barcelona 3 – 1 Valencia
