According to several reports, FC Barcelona have slapped a price tag of 20 million in order to let go Ilaix Moriba this summer. Besides Lionel Messi’s situation the youngster’s contract situation is one of the major talking points surrounding Barcelona. Moriba is in the last year of his contract and is refusing to sign a new deal if not highly paid.

Moriba is a product of Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy and is described as one of the growing young talents. The youngster made his first-team debut in January this year as he featured in a Copa Del Ray fixture. Since then Moriba found a rotational role in the team and appeared 18 times, scoring 1 and assisting 3. But all those happy moments vanished as Barcelona opened new contract talks with Moriba.

He is running on the last year of his contract and refused to sign a new one offered to him by Barcelona. Moriba wants a high-paying job and the Catalans are not going to approve that at any cost. Following this, Barcelona have cut off Moriba from the first team and send him back to the B side. While, as per reports the club may also not let him play for the B side.

As the contract talks are going nowhere Barcelona are willing to let go Moriba at a price of €20 million. As of now some Premiere clubs and RB Leipzig are interested in him but are not willing to pay €20 million. So, they might wait until next summer to get him for free.

Bundesliga club RB Leipzig had proposed a deal of around €6 million to sign the midfielder this summer. But Barcelona have rejected it straightway as they stand firm on their €20 million price tag. So, let’s wait and see where the situation between Barcelona and Ilaix Moriba is dragged into.
