Bayern officials want Müller to stay and finish his career in Munich

Following reports that Thomas Müller is considering departing due to his present reserve status, Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidi requested a meeting with Müller on Thursday. The Bayern attacking midfielder had previously been contacted by the leadership of Kahn, Salihamidi, and Hainer. After training, the club’s executives told Müller that the club would continue to rely on him. They also coveyed that they wanted him to finish his career in Munich.

As previously said, the club wishes to keep the dummy runner midfielder, but there is no indication of what the player would desire at this time. This will undoubtedly be a story to watch in the coming weeks.

According to a Bild story (as recorded by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich executives are preparing to deal with club legend Thomas Müller amid rumours that the 33-year-old could quit the club this summer. Following recent rumours of a probable departure, Hasan Salihamidi and Oliver Kahn approached Thomas Muller and requested a meeting. Müller’s coach made it obvious that they still rely on him and want him to retire with FC Bayern. One could argue that club executives are aware that Müller’s desire to leave the club could have a negative impact on their own careers. But this is only a hypothesis at this point in time.

Regardless, the Bayern dummy runner has had a crazy trip this week. First, we witnessed a postgame narrative in which manager Thomas Tuchel looked to become irritated by queries about his decision to bench Muller. Moreover followed by CEO Oliver Kahn and sporting director Hasan “Brazzo” Salihamidi insisting it was a “coach’s decision.”
