Bayern Munich are the latest team to have expressed their interest in signing Real Madrid defender Eder Militao.
Eder Militao joined Real Madrid for Porto in 2019 and since then the 22-year-old Brazilian has made only 17 appearances in all competitions which raises questions whether he will remain in Madrid for the next season or not.
The Brazilian inked a contract deal with Real Madrid which will tie him with the club till 2025 however clubs who are interested in luring him away from the Spanish capital can sign him as his € 50 million release clause has been activated.
Therefore the clubs will have to trigger his release clause and then they can proceed with the further negotiations that are required to be done.
Bayern Munich have entered the race to sign Militao?
According to Goal Bayern have joined the race to sign Madrid outcast Militao in the upcoming transfer window.
Bayern who are 1st in the Bundesliga, monitoring his situation closely as they are keen on bringing Militao as a replacement for the outgoing David Alaba whose contract is set to expire by summer.
Madrid would be open to the idea of selling Militao as he isn’t a favorite to start anymore as they already have world-class defenders such as Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos in that position.
Los Blancos would also look to offload players as they have plans on making major signings in the summer therefore they will look to recoup and use the money they would get from Militao’s sale.
However the Bavarians would face stiff competition from Juventus, Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund who have also enquired about Militao’s availability.
Therefore a move for Militao can take place when Bayern trigger his release clause and open talks with Real Madrid as soon as possible.
