Bayern Munich on the lookout for Leverkusen winger Amine Adli

Italian goalkeeper

Bayern Munich might make an unexpeced approach in the transfer market. Bayern Munich are reportedly showing interest in Bayer Leverkusen winger Amine Adli.

At the age of 23, Amine Adli made the move from Toulouse to Bayer Leverkusen in August 2021. The Transfer was for a reported fee of €7.50 million according to Transfermarkt. His current market value is at €15 million. Interestingly, it is a fact that Adli was previously close to joining Munich instead. During his time with Leverkusen, he has been a rotational player rather than a regular starter. Adli’s contract with Leverkusen runs until 2026, indicating the club’s long-term plans for him.

Why are Bayern Munich targeting Amine Adli?

According to L’Équipe, Amine Adli is attracting interest not only from Bayern Munich but also from AC Milan. Additionally, The Guardian mentioned that English clubs Arsenal and Newcastle United are also showing interest in the player. It is speculated that the potential transfer fee for Adli could exceed £30 million (€34 million). These multiple suitors indicate that Adli’s performances catching the attention of several clubs across Europe. Thus, leading to a potentially competitive market for his services.

It’s true that the potential interest in Amine Adli could be due to the future of their current wingers. Kingsley Coman and Leroy Sané are players with long-term prospects at the club. However, the situations of Serge Gnabry and Sadio Mané may be less clear. If either Gnabry or Mané were to depart from Bayern Munich, it could create an opening and a need for additional reinforcements in the winger position.

In such a scenario, the pursuit of Amine Adli to Bavaria ultimately could make sense. Since, Bayern Munich seeks to bolster their squad depth in the summer and maintain a strong attacking lineup.
