Benjamin Sesko snubbed Manchester United

Benjamin Sesko snubbed Manchester United as well as Arsenal. Find out why here.

The Reds wanted to sign Benjamin Sesko:

The Reds are looking forward to signing a lot of players in this transfer window. However, it has been observed that they are mainly more talks and no actions instead. They tried signing Benjamin Sesko but they failed to do so as well. They really wants to sign Viktor Gyokeres. However, it is in doubt because Arsenal are highly interested in him and are also doing everything they can in order to sign him as well.

Why did Sesko snub Manchester United and Arsenal?

Ruben Amorim is in desperate need of a good striker as well as a left back or a left wing back in the team as well. Arsenal and Manchester United were both interested in Benjamin Sesko. However, Benjamin Sesko snubbed them instead. He decided to sign an extended contract with RB Leipzig. He then scored 8 goals in 17 appearances for them this season too. Sesko explained that he wanted to stay at a place which plays similar style of football according to him as well. He said that he did not really want to go through another learning process to go and play in the Premier League. This is the reason why the 21 year old snubbed the two Premier League clubs.

Author’s Opinion:

I think Sesko did the correct thing. He knew what he was doing and he did not want to go to the Premier League so soon. He wanted to learn more and develop his play style in the BundesLiga instead. The Slovenia International scored a lot of goals in 17 appearances. A lot of players needs to develop themselves more in an easier league instead of going to a difficult one as soon as possible. At the same time, the conditions of Manchester United was too bad as well and it would have hampered his progress too.
