Juventus are struggling with Italians currently sitting 8th in the Serie A points table. The club is now looking towards Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva to breathe fresh life into the team.
Bernardo Silva, who is currently playing for English champions Manchester City, has shown his desire to leave the club. According to Calciomercato, Juventus wants to bring in the 27-year-old to Turin in January.
Juventus wants to bring in Bernardo Silva in the coming winter transfer window. The club is willing to offer an initial loan deal for the Portuguese, but Manchester City is said to be only ready for a permanent transfer. With the player expressing the desire to leave, Juventus could be in a position to land an incredible midfielder.

Bernardo Silva made his name with the French side AS Monaco and was part of their 2016/17 team that won the Ligue1. This earned him a big-money move to Premier League where he was able to link up with Pep Guardiola in Manchester City.
Bernardo Silva is a very underrated midfielder. An attacking midfielder by trade, Silva likes to operate mainly on the right side. He is an excellent passer and also is very good at holding on to the ball. For a small attacking midfielder, Bernardo Silva also is amazing with his defensive works.
Though he was part of the plan for Manchester City, his time has decreased in the last season. This has prompted the player to think about his future. Silva has played 210 times for the Citizens, scoring 36 goals. He has won multiple trophies with them including three Premier League titles.
JUVENTUS COULD REJUVINATE MIDFIELD WITH BERNARDO SILVA
For Juventus, the club has been undergoing a dip in their performance in the past few seasons. This culminated with them finally conceding the title to Inter Milan last season and was only barely able to qualify for the Champions League. This made the club sack manager Andre Pirlo and brought back former manager Massimiliano Allegri in that role.
However, Juventus has not made much improvement which was also affected by the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. The goals have dried up for the team while the defence has not been solid enough. Though the club has good depth in the midfield, there is a lack of creativity in the area.
Thus for the Old Lady, signing Bernardo Silva could help in fixing this issue. The club currently is looking to sign him on loan. The club finances are preventing them to sign him permanently at the moment and could be a problem. Manchester City is not ready for a loan move and with a contract till 2025 are not in any hurry.
So if Juventus are serious about Silva, they will have to loosen their purse strings. The club is also on the lookout for other midfielders. This includes the Manchester United pair of Paul Pogba and Donny Van de Beek. Pogba who has played for Juventus is heavily linked with the Italians and could join them for free the next summer.
