Bernardo Silva to Barcelona on the cards?

Football Express

Bernardo Silva looks set to leave Manchester City this season. The Portuguese is loved by Xavi and has reportedly agreed on personal terms with the club. But Barcelona have still not made an official offer for the 27-year-old. Barcelona have had issues registering their new signings recently. Jules Kounde is still to be given the green light for registration by La Liga. The Frenchman missed the first 2 fixtures in La Liga. But Barcelona seems confident to get it done this week so he can play this Sunday.

But Frenkie De Jong‘s imminent departure from the club looks to be the way in for Bernardo Silva. Photos have emerged of Bernardo’s girlfriend in Catalunya. It is reported that his partner has been looking at some properties in Barcelona. This may just be a sign that Bernardo to Barcelona is a move that can be done in the next few days. But Manchester City will also not let him leave for a bargain price. City have no intention of letting him go for a price less than €100 million.

As far as his position is concerned, Silva was left out of the Manchester City starting 11 for the first 2 games. He did return against Newcastle with a goal and an assist for City. It might just look like that Bernardo will not be going anywhere. Manchester City staff has confirmed that no offers have come in for him. Unless and until Barcelona carry on Departures at a fast rate, signing and registering Bernardo will be almost impossible.

Departures from Barcelona slowing down

Samuel Umtiti has gone to Italy as he signed on loan for Leece. Other than that, the departures have been slow to come by. Memphis Depay’s move to Juventus broke down as Juventus went on to sign Milik. Martin Braithwaite is again proving to be a trouble for Barcelona as he refuses to leave. Pierre Emerick Aubameyang has agreed on personal terms with Chelsea. But the 2 clubs have not arrived at a fee.

Sergino Dest wants to continue at the club but Xavi does not rate him that high. He was left out of the squad for the first 2 La Liga games. Barcelona are currently exploring the market for a right-back that would suit their style. It looks like the transfer window is still not over for Barcelona.
