Beşiktaş want Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic on loan

Luka Jovic

Beşiktaş is looking forward to signing the Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic on a loan move for a year. The Turks are desperate on strengthening their attacking lineup for next season.

Luka Jovic and Real Madrid

Luka Jovic joined the Spanish giants in 2019 from Eintracht Frankfurt for a whopping £60 million. Sadly the promising striker could not find the back of the net. Jovic managed to resister only 7 goal contributions in 3 years which is a bad sign.

However, Carlo Ancelotti gave the youngster another shot in the playing XI, and this time he was able to do something better. On the contrary, Karim Benzema has been at his best thus the Serb’s efforts went unnoticed. Now that he has no place in the starting XI, Luka might be moving to Beşiktaş soon.

Offer from Turkey

This summer, Beşiktaş is searching for a new center-forward and has a wishlist of numerous candidates. The Turkish powerhouse is putting in a tremendous amount of effort to secure strikers. The signatures of the Dutch international, Wout Weghorst, and the Norweigan winger Alexander Sørloth is what they want.

And if they can’t afford them, Beşiktaş intends to start negotiations with Real to sign Jovic. The Serb has still 3 years left on his Real Madrid tenure. Although Los Blancos would probably prefer a direct transfer, Besiktas is convinced that it can get a loan agreement by paying a cost of about £2.4 million.

Should Jovic sign for Beşiktaş?

The past three years haven’t been bright for the DFB-Pokal winner. The forward needs to find a place where he can replicate the glory from his Frankfurt days. And as things stand, no top European club is looking to sign him.

Joining Beşiktaş can be his first stepping stone in becoming a top-tier striker. Playing in the Süper Lig can be a different experience for him considering talents like Mesut Ozil still playing there. The Serb might even be priced very high in the transfer market if he performs well in Turkey.
