  • Arsenal receive big blow as Liverpool rejoin Zubimendi race
  • The Spanish star is now ready to move away from Real Sociedad
  • The 25 year old is rated currently at €60 million

Martin Zubimendi was linked with a move to Premier League this season. He was being looked upon by Arsenal and Liverpool. But they player snubbed both the clubs as he was unwilling to leave Spain.

Arsenal then went on to sign his teammate Mikel Merino. Liverpool ended the summer without any midfield signing. But, this has not affected the Reds as they are sitting on the top of Premier League table.

In contrast, Real Sociedad are struggling as they are on the 8th position in La Liga. They may lose place in European competition next season. As per the recent reports, this may result in Zubimendi eventually parting ways with Sociedad.

Premier League still remains the next possible destination for Zubimendi. Gunners were said to have lead to sign him due to the Spanish connection. They also had lead due to the interest from Liverpool slowing down.

But now, TEAMtalk have reported that the Reds are still keen to sign Zubimendi. They may even make a move in January itself. This will come as a blow for Gunners who would have loved to have no competition for the midfielder’s signature.

As of now, Liverpool have a very good midfield condition. Both Gravenberch and Cutis Jones are playing well. In contrast, it has not been very good for Gunners.

Arsenal have been highly tested this season due to injuries. In addition, Partey and Jorginho are set to leave for free next summer. This will leave a huge void and Zubimendi is capable of filling it.

Lastly, Man City are too in the race as they are in hunt to find a replacement for Rodri. Rodri will miss the rest of the season and his absence has already costed Pep Guardiola a lot.
