In order to be ready for the 2023–24 season, Borussia Dortmund intends to visit the US next summer. Even though the 2022–23 season is just halfway through, plans are already being made for the summer of 23. In preparation for the upcoming season, Borussia Dortmund intends to travel to the United States.
In advance of the 2023–24 season, according to Borussia Dortmund managing director Carsten Cramer of Ruhr Nachrichten, they already have travel arrangements made to the United States. The Black and Yellows are also thinking very seriously about setting up an international office in New York. Cramer thinks the club should increase its presence and appeal in the country for a variety of reasons.
“As things stand, we’re planning a tour to the US in the summer. We have a very popular USMNT player in Gio Reyna in the squad, the topic of women’s football is very big there, and the 2026 World Cup is just around the corner. There are many reasons for us to be even more present and active in the US.”
Borussia Dortmund’s performance in Asia Tour
Borussia Dortmund just returned from a fruitful midseason trip to Asia. During the 10-day journey, the players who won’t be competing in the 2022 FIFA World Cup visited Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam.
The team led by Edin Terzic competed in friendly contests against the Vietnam national team, the Johor Darul Ta’zim, and the Lion City Sailors. And at the stadiums, tens of thousands of fans were able to watch some of their favorite players live in action. Ruhr Nachrichten claims that BVB made a profit of almost 2.5 million euros as a result of the trip.
On the 2022 ASIA TOUR, Borussia Dortmund won the first of its three friendlies. Donyell Malen scored a hat-trick in the first half, and BVB defeated the Lion City Sailors 7-2 (3-0) in Singapore thanks to goals from Samuel Bamba (two), Julian Rijkhoff, and Justin Njinmah.
