For both teams, the match will be a dead rubber, as there is nothing at stake to play for. While Dortmund have qualified for the Champions League, Leverkusen have ensured Europa League for the next season.
The match however will also see some emotional farewells. Dortmund legend Lukasz Piszczek has confirmed that he will depart with the Black and Yellows at the end of this season. The twins Lars Bender and Sven Bender of Leverkusen have also announced retirement at the end of the season.

Dortmund will be without their long-term absentees. This include Marwin Hitz, Mateu Morey,Youssoufa Moukoko, Marcel Schmelzer, Axel Witsel and Dan-Axel Zagadou. Lukasz Piszczek is reported to have a muscle injury but will be mostly available for his final Dortmund game.
Leverkusen have been ravaged by injuries. They will be without Lucas Alario, Santiago Arias, Leon Bailey, Lars Bender (knee), Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Exequiel Palacios and Daley Sinkgraven (knee). They will be also without Nadiem Amiri and Edmond Tapsoba, both of whom are suspended after collecting their fifth yellow card of the season.
Patrick Schick is also a doubt for the game, as Leverkusen might not risk him before the start of the European Championship.
