Martin Braithwaite is all over the headlines these days. The Danish forward is felt to be surplus by the Barcelona coaching staff and might be on his way out of the club. Braithwaite is now looking to terminate his current contract with the club and be a free agent. The club will provide him with a letter of freedom once his contract is terminated. But a process like this is easier said than done. Braithwaite was hoping to run down the length of his contract with Barcelona. But the WC 2022 poses a big question about his form and consistency. Braithwaite knows he will start in the WC team as long as he can find playing time.
How will Barcelona manage exits?
Barcelona find themselves in a debacle. This time, it is about exits and not about arrivals. Barcelona have signed superstars this year and are looking to dominate Europe once again. 5 new arrivals have dawned on the first team jerseys but registering them will be a big task. The number of players at Barcelona are excessive and exits have to be managed. Players like Braithwaite, and Umtiti have no place in the squad.
The club thinks of terminating their contracts Unilaterally. Both Umtiti and Braithwaite are making a lot of money warming the benches of Barcelona, which does not make sense at all. The club has enough attackers and defenders that can cover the absence of 2 backup players. Xavi has made it clear that the players will leave if they do not have a future here.
