Brice Samba is set to leave Nottingham Forrest for the French League. The 28-year-old is joining RC Lens and everyone wishes him good luck.

The Cologne goalkeeper initially played in France. After joining Nottingham Forrest from Caen back in 2019, Brice Samba made 125 appearances for the club in all tournaments. Now the African is set to leave England for France to grow as a footballer.

Samba in Nottingham

Brice Samba has proved to be the best man at the goal line for the second-division English side. The player has 35% clean sheet percentage since 2019. He’s prevented his opponents from scoring many times by conceding only 0.82 goals per game.

Moreover, his career-best performance would be that crucial penalty shootout against Sheffield United. In the Sky Bet Championship, he saved three shots from the Blades. He helped his side clinch promotion back to the Premier League after all he’s done for the club.

With all that said and done, the 2-time Champions League winners bid adieu to their star keeper in tears. Brice is all set to join RC Lens to take up his next challenge in facing some French giants like PSG, and others.

Is Lens the right choice?

The Cologne keeper has played in France before & is very well aware of what League 1 has in store for him. It’s only a matter of time before he gets adapted to the conditions and playstyle before hitting his prime.

The French side has purchased this gloved talent for €5 million from Nottingham and expects some serious GK reflexes.

In conclusion, Samba is an amazing person to defend the goal line. He will surely succeed during his time in France. It’s only a matter of time before Europe witnesses him become one of the best keepers on the continent.
