Bright Enobakhare could return to East Bengal next window

Football

After spending half a season at East Bengal this year, Bright Enobakhare is most likely to make a return. East Bengal have been making steady progress in improving their squad this transfer window. With a new manager and a host of talented players handpicked by him, East Bengal are ready.

East Bengal got the signature of Bright Enobakhare on the first day of this year. His debut came 2 days later in which he scored the match-winning goal. In the next match, he bundled in a stunning solo goal. By the end of the season, the Nigerian made 12 appearances bagging 3 goals and one assist. However, by the end of the season, Coventry City signed Enobakhare for free on a 2-year deal. He was a part of their squad while on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers during the 2018/19 season when they played in League One. He managed 6 goals in 18 appearances back then but has made just one appearance after his reunion.

Newly appointed manager Manuel Diaz has been busy from his first day at work. East Bengal went from not being sure about participating in the Indian Super League to making 5 exciting international signings. Tomislav Mrcela (defender), Franjo Price (centre-back), Amir Dervisevic (midfielder), Daniel Chima Chukwa (striker) and Darren Sidoel (holding midfielder) are the signings of the summer.

Bright Enobakhare will join in January

The summer window has closed and thus club will have to wait until January to sign the player. The club and the manager believe in the player’s potential and will hope he gets to play games in order to maintain his fitness levels. Coventry are currently in the heavily competitive Championship and Enobakhare’s games are limited to the Carabao Cup appearances.

Enobakhare was a Wolverhampton player from 2015 to 2020. Struggling to make the first team, he made a couple of loan moves to lower English leagues, the Scottish league and the Super Greece League. Under the guidance of a former Real Madrid youth coach, Enobakhare can push his consistency and work rate to the limits.
